“ First time at Sonny's BBQ. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. It didn't have that tired feel of a sports bar. It was quiet despite being near a major highway. The whole restaurant looked very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. The food was absolutely wonderful, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the green beans tasted like they came straight out of a can and was then heated in a microwave. The other point was the Cuban sandwich. This may be a personal taste. But I feel that it would have been so much better with a sharper tasting Swiss cheese. Overall, I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will certainly visit again to try their other menu items.. ”

The wings were perfect. We asked for extra crispy and we got them! The Cobb salad was fresh, enormous and delicious! I actually witnessed an employee wiping down refrigerator and other handles. I did the 2 meat option (smoked wings and baby back ribs) with green beans and french fries. I also had the sweet tea margarita which was delicious! But let me tell you about the smoked wings, they were to die for! Our server was really nice and the restaurant was clean. ”
“ Great food! If I'm going to eat BBQ outside Kansas City, Sonny's would definitely be on my list. It smelled great, the place was clean and seemed well run. They had a bar, a good selection on the menu. Everything we tried was good. The service was excellent. It was easy access from I-75 and on Saturday afternoon we got right in and food was on the table within 15 minutes. There were 4 sauces... try them all! An excellent place to stop on a road trip! ”

I normally get the chopped brisket sandwich but have become addicted to the dry rubbed wings...honestly some of the best I've ever had!! We also have them cater to my job quite often and it's always fast and tasty. ”
